When warm spring breeze rustles through the leaves each year, feast of spring unfolds in Yeouido against the wide open Hangang River, as 13 types of 87,859 spring flowers come into full bloom, including the azalea, forsythias, royal azaleas, bridal wreaths, and deutzia, as well as 1,641 trees of Prunus yedoensis, which is originally from Jejudo Island.
Yeongdeungpo-gu's Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year since its inception in 2005, has grown into a cultural and arts festival that offers an abundant variety of colorful attractions.
Starting with the opening ceremony on April 5th (Fri), Yeongdeungpo-gu's 15th annual Yeouido Spring Flower Festival where beautiful spring flowers and young culture and arts come to life will fill your fluttered heart with a whole range of different performances, exhibitions, promotion and experience events, including various performing arts and local art gatherings stretched throughout Yeouiseo-ro and the Hangang River.
