Since opening in 1971, Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital HUMC has achieved remarkable growth. It is the matrix of the Hallym University Medical Center, which is currently operating five general hospitals across the country. World-class interdisciplinary burn treatment

At Burn Center, where Korea’s only burn treatment team operates, around 60 medical specialists from the Department of Burn Surgery, Department of Plastic Surgery, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and Department of Psychiatry provide medical service. Through interdisciplinary care covering the entire process from diagnosis to surgery, treatment, rehabilitation and reconstruction, the medical staff dedicates the utmost effort to treating burn patients. In particular, this hospital records high success rates in ultra-thin skin graft and scar removal surgery, the highly complicated procedures. It also achieved a high level of satisfaction of burn patients by operating the Burn Surgery Clinic and the Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Clinic.
